Redback 6″ Trommel

CNC laser cut and folded aluminium construction this trommel is built to the highest standard. Please note, some of the images shown are of the prototype unit. Most production units have the hopper, barrel and sluice in raw aluminium finish. The mild steel components are either powdercoated black, ZP or HDG. On the production versions the barrel section also has a HDG mesh guard.

The barrel is 150mm diameter x 600mm long and is made from 1.6mm 350 grade steel with black zinc plate finish. Inside the barrel is 3 removable breaker bars to help tumble the material and break up clay. 

This trommel incorporates an internal spray bar and comes complete with a 12v 4700gph pump and associated fittings.

A 2 speed, 12v high torque electric motor drives the trommel with 10mm thick steel gears. (Some competitors just use a spring to mount the motor driven by plastic gears). There is guarding all around the gear set to prevent rocks getting in. 

Underneath the trommel sits a 10″ sluice mat of our own design (the unit does not come with the mat shown in the images of the prototype). Both the trommel and sluice angles are fully adjustable.

Weighing just 24kg this is a large lightweight trommel that is easy to move around. This trommel stands at 1 metre tall and is 1.5 metres long.
