Job Title: Casual Sales Assistant

Location: Newcomb, (Geelong), Vic

Job Type: Casual, Ongoing

Hours: Approx. 6 hours per week (with potential for more based on business needs)

About the Role:
We are looking for a customer-focused individual with strong sales experience and excellent computer skills to join our team as a Casual Sales Assistant. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at problem-solving on your feet, and have an interest in prospecting and metal detecting, this role is perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding customer service and build strong relationships with customers.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, purchases, and recommendations.
• Maintain knowledge of metal detecting, prospecting equipment, and computer-related sales.
• Use your computer skills to process sales transactions and assist with customer technical needs.
• Keep the store clean, organised, and well-stocked.
• Pack orders and prepare them for shipment to customers.
• Process inward stock, ensuring inventory is accurate and properly stored.
• Count stock regularly to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Communicate with the team about website updates, including new products or stock changes.
• Support additional tasks as needed to meet business requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven sales experience
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Point Of Sale Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong general computer knowledge and the ability to assist customers with technical questions.
• Strong typing skills with accurate spelling and grammar, capable of drafting professional emails to customers.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in orders, stock management, and inventory.
• Genuine interest in prospecting/metal detecting.
• Availability to work Saturdays and flexibility to work additional hours as required.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the confidence to speak with customers over the phone.
