Shipping carriers
Express Post orders are shipped via Australia Post.
Standard shipping may be sent via Australia Post or Aramex, depending on parcel size, weight and destination.

Postage is calculated by weight and dimensions.
Shipping time within Australia is usually 1 to 10 business days.
Metal detectors will be shipped to your nearest post office for security.

ID VERIFICATION

To protect our customers and prevent fraudulent transactions, we may require identity verification for certain high-value orders.

  • Photo identification (e.g. driver’s licence) may be requested for all metal detector purchases and other high-value items.
  • The name and shipping address on the ID must match the details provided in your order.
  • Orders may be placed on hold or cancelled if requested ID is not provided within a reasonable timeframe.
  • We treat all identification securely and confidentially, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Additional verification may also be required for international high-value orders prior to dispatch.

     

TRACKING YOUR PARCEL

Once your order has been packed and left our warehouse, you will be emailed a tracking number.

Please check you junk mail as some customers find this email is redirected to this folder.

Australia Post Orders can be tracked via http://auspost.com.au/track/track.html

Please allow 0-3 days processing time before your parcel is sent. In most cases it will be within the first 24hrs as we aim to get every order off ASAP. 

PLEASE NOTE POSTAGE TIMES CAN VARY DEPENDING ON PUBLIC HOLIDAYS, WEEKENDS, LOCATION, NATURAL DISASTERS, CUSTOMS INVESTIGATIONS, & OTHER UNCONTROLLABLE FACTORS. 

THESE TIMEFRAMES ARE OUT OF OUR CONTROL, WE WILL TRY OUR BEST TO ENSURE YOU RECEIVE YOUR PARCEL ASAP. 

MISSING PARCELS

On the event that your parcel is held up or is lost, it may take up to three months to receive an answer from the Shipping Investigation Team. Unfortunately, these timeframes are uncontrollable and we will do our best to rectify the issue ASAP.

INCORRECT INFORMATION

Once your order has been placed no changes are able to be made. Please double check your shipping address is correct before confirming your order. Business addresses must include the business name.

If parcels are not collected, or are required to be returned to sender due to insufficient or incorrect information, postage costs are unable to be refunded. Once you have placed your order, you are committing to the sale and declaring that all information entered including the shipping address is correct.

If you do find you have entered incorrect shipping information please email us ASAP at support@luckystrikegold.com.au and we will attempt to correct the mistake.

STORE PICKUP

PLEASE NOTE: If you are unable to collect from Geelong, Victoria, DO NOT pick this option, as your parcel will be held in our store.

You will receive an email when your parcel is ready to be picked up at the address below. Please ensure to bring your receipt or ID to pick up your purchase.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING 

We ship internationally using Australia Post.

International shipping costs shown at checkout are a guide only and are calculated based on parcel weight, dimensions and destination. Final costs may vary depending on the destination country, carrier requirements, and local delivery conditions.

Estimated delivery times for international orders are typically 10–20 business days, depending on destination, customs processing and local delivery services.

International orders are shipped with duties and taxes not included unless explicitly shown at checkout.

Please note:

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by customs clearance, public holidays, weather events and other factors outside our control.

Tracking is provided for international orders. Australia Post parcels are transferred to the local postal service in the destination country (for the USA, this is typically USPS).

New Zealand:
Standard international delivery typically takes 3–7 business days, with express services generally 2–5 business days, subject to customs clearance and local delivery conditions.

United Kingdom:
Standard international delivery typically takes 8–18 business days. Express services, where selected, typically take 4–12 business days, though delays may occur due to customs processing.

United States:
Standard international delivery typically takes 10–20 business days. Express services, where selected, typically take 3–10 business days, though delays may occur due to customs processing.

Canada:
Standard international delivery typically takes 10–25 business days. Express services (EMS), where selected, typically take 5–14 business days, though delays may occur due to customs processing.


Duties, Taxes & Customs (Delivered Duties Unpaid – DDU)

All international orders are shipped on a Delivered Duties Unpaid (DDU) basis.

This means any import duties, VAT, taxes or customs fees imposed by the destination country are the responsibility of the recipient and are payable upon import.

Lucky Strike Gold does not collect, remit or prepay international duties or taxes on behalf of customers unless explicitly stated at checkout.

For orders shipped to the United States, most parcels valued under USD $800 are generally not subject to duties or import taxes. This threshold is determined by US authorities and may change without notice.

For orders shipped to the United Kingdom, VAT and import charges may apply depending on the order value and local regulations.

For orders shipped to Canada, GST, HST and applicable provincial taxes may be payable upon import.

Lucky Strike Gold is not responsible for:

• Delays caused by customs inspections
• Customs clearance processing times
• Any duties, VAT, taxes or fees imposed by the destination country after dispatch

International Returns & Refused Deliveries

If an international order is refused, unclaimed, or returned to sender due to unpaid duties, taxes, VAT or customs fees:

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable
• Any return freight, customs charges or carrier handling fees will be deducted from any approved refund

By placing an international order, you acknowledge and accept these conditions.
