Director
Darren Kamp
Darren is a third-generation gold prospector and one of Australia’s most experienced detectorists, with more than 40 years spent chasing gold across the country. His journey began as a teenager, detecting for coins and relics before unearthing his first gold nugget purely by chance — a discovery that changed everything. From that moment, he was hooked.
Since then, Darren has uncovered an extraordinary collection of gold, including nuggets weighing 6, 8, 10, 16, and even 24 ounces. His depth of knowledge, field experience, and instinct for gold have earned him a reputation as a true expert in the prospecting world — someone who’s as passionate about teaching others as he is about the thrill of the hunt.
For Darren, there’s nothing better than being out in the great Aussie bush — feeling the freedom, the quiet, and the anticipation of what lies beneath the surface.
When he’s not detecting, you’ll often find him at swap meets or auctions, hunting for rare pieces of mining memorabilia to share with others who love gold as much as he does.
CEO
Leanne Kamp
Leanne is a fourth-generation gold prospector who has learnt much of what she knows through osmosis. She has accompanied Darren on his three-month trips to Western Australia, crossed the Nullarbor more times than she ever thought possible, and developed a genuine passion for business along the way. Gold prospecting has become a lifestyle for Leanne, and she treasures the camaraderie of the prospecting community and the many friendships formed through shared adventures.
Before the family’s gold prospecting journey, Leanne worked as a Human Resources Consultant and later held managerial roles in retail. She even spent time working alongside AFL great Mick Malthouse. When she’s not working, Leanne loves heading to the beach with her boogie board, then unwinding with a good book and a glass of wine.
Business Development Strategist
Taleesha Kamp
Taleesha is a fifth-generation gold prospector bringing fresh energy to one of Australia’s oldest industries. Blending heritage with innovation, she’s helping modernise the world of gold detecting and tours through creative strategy, community connection, and a deep respect for the people who make prospecting what it is.
As Business Development Strategist at Lucky Strike Gold and Gold & Relics Gold Prospecting Adventures, Taleesha combines creativity with structure — shaping brand direction, streamlining operations, and building experiences that keep the spirit of gold alive for the next generation.
Beyond business, she’s passionate about mindset, wellbeing, and wildlife — believing that success is built on alignment between purpose, health, and creativity. Whether behind the scenes or out in the field detecting, Taleesha continues to challenge stereotypes and inspire others to dig deeper — in business, in growth, and in life.
