If you missed it, our own Darren Kamp recently appeared on Channel 9’s A Current Affair, offering expert insight into the maze of old gold mines and how someone could potentially survive underground. Darren shared his experience from over 50 years of prospecting and mine exploration.

During the interview, Darren explained that many of Victoria’s historic mines stretch for kilometres underground and that navigating them safely requires a deep understanding of the terrain. He highlighted just how vast and complex these old tunnels can be, describing shafts and airflows that make them both fascinating and dangerous.

It’s not every day you see one of Australia’s top prospectors on national television, and it’s great to see goldfield knowledge represented in mainstream media.
