Meet Soo, an avid gold panner who recently struck gold in Creswick, discovering a beautiful 0.7-gram nugget during his latest outing. During one of his trips, after a successful day of panning, Soo took a taxi back to the Ballarat train station. As he chatted with the driver about his experience, he showed off his stunning nugget. The taxi driver was so impressed that he offered Soo a unique deal: if Soo would take him gold panning, he’d receive a free taxi ride.

On Soo's next visit to Ballarat, he reached out to the taxi driver, and together they ventured out to explore the art of panning for gold. True to his word, the taxi driver shouted Soo his complimentary ride and left as a newfound enthusiast, eager to learn more about the hobby.
