A Nice Patch: Two Clumps, Two Signals, One Sweet Surprise
Share
There’s something about being out in the bush that just can’t be beat. The flies buzzing, the mozzies hovering, and the sound of your detector humming in the background — it’s all part of the adventure. Add a few good mates into the mix and you’ve got yourself the perfect prospecting day.
That’s exactly what happened on this trip.
Our mate was out in the field, swinging their detector across the dusty ground, when they heard it — that faint but unmistakable sound. A target. Not loud, not obvious, but definitely worth a dig.
They dug up a clump, waved it over the coil, and yep — still sounding sweet. But then, just as they broke the clump apart and checked again — surprise! There was a second signal coming from the other half.
“I thought I had one target, but nope — two signals, two clumps, two bits of gold. That kind of moment keeps you coming back.”
And just like that, two beautiful little nuggets were sitting in the palm of their hand. A perfect reminder that the gold is still out there — and sometimes, it's waiting in pairs.
We love stories like this because they capture what prospecting is really about: the anticipation, the surprise, and the simple joys.
