Z-SET CONCENTRIC TOROIDAL COILS

The Z-Set Concentric toroidal coil range includes the Z18 18", Z17 17", and Z13 13" coils, each engineered for specific ground conditions and reduced ground noise in mineralized soils. Z18 focuses on maximum depth and stability in highly mineralized ground, allowing deeper penetration to locate medium to large gold while efficiently covering wide open areas with reduced ground noise. Z17 is designed for high EMI and conductive soils, with stable operation and strong target response on small to medium gold. Z13 suits vegetation-heavy terrain and supports accurate detection of small to medium gold, with balanced handling and reduced fatigue over long sessions.

The Single Coil Pack includes the Z18 Concentric Toroidal coil to expand ground coverage and reach deeper soil layers.

THREE COIL PACK

How far apart can two operators detect from each other?

Up to approximately 20 metres apart is recommended for minimal interference, depending on ground conditions and settings.

Does it go deeper than previous models?

Yes. The GPZ 8000 is engineered to achieve greater depth than any previous model, particularly in challenging Australian ground.

Will the coils be sold separately?

Yes. Coils will be available separately following the official release. Pricing is to be confirmed.

Will the coil design pick up sticks and vegetation?

The coil has a curved profile, which helps it glide more smoothly over the ground and move through light vegetation and uneven terrain with less resistance.

Does it have built-in GPS?

No, the GPZ 8000 does not include built-in GPS mapping functionality.

Does it have discrimination?

No traditional discrimination. Like previous high-performance gold machines, it is designed for maximum gold sensitivity. Target interpretation is primarily through stereo audio response.

Is it lighter than the GPZ 7000?

Yes. Weighing 2.78 kg, it is significantly lighter and better balanced, reducing fatigue and making it more comfortable to operate during longer sessions in the field.

Is it suitable for beginners?

It is designed as a high-performance gold detector. While anyone can learn it, it is best suited to users who want to maximise depth and performance in mineralised ground.

Can I use my existing GPZ coils?

No. The GPZ 8000 uses the Z-Set concentric toroidal coil range and is not compatible with previous GPZ coil models.

Is it waterproof?

The detector, coil and WM 14 are waterproof to 1 metre for up to 30 minutes.
